New bus routes for Southampton

Bluestar 19

Bus passengers travelling between Thornhill and Southampton City Centre can now use the Bluestar 19 service. Starting at Fairfax Court in Thornhill, the Bluestar 19 passes through Sholing, Woolston and over Itchen Bridge to WestQuay and Vincents Walk, finishing at Central Station.

The new Bluestar 19 route will serve the eastern side of the city every 15 minutes between 7am and 7pm daily and Bluestar plan to add journeys and increase frequency to every 10 minutes next year.

City Red Service 1

The new City Red Service 1 from First Bus allows passengers in Calmore and Totton to get to Southampton City Centre in 35 minutes, stopping at key places such as Southampton Central Station, SeaCity museum, the Civic Centre and Art Gallery, WestQuay and Bargate. The City Red Service 1 operates 7 days a week, departing from Bearslane Close in Calmore, and calling at Richmond Close, Testwood Crescent, Totton Shopping Centre and Southampton Central Station before reaching its destination in Southampton City Centre.

The City Red Service 1 will operate up to every 10 minutes Monday to Friday daytime, and up to every 20 minutes during weekend and public holiday daytimes.
